When the winter season is over in Europe and North America, head out to Oz and become an Australian 'snow gum'!
Most people do not think of Australia when deciding to work a winter season, despite the country opening it's first ski resort over 150 years ago! That said, there aren't as many ski jobs available as in European resorts, so you'll have to get in early.
The first dump of snow lands around June and the season runs all the way up till October. The resorts are mainly found in the three states of New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania. The largest resort is Threadbo with over 480 hectors to ski and board. The resorts offer a range of runs for all levels of skiers and boarders as well as plenty of off-piste, cross country and freestyle areas to hit. So if you do decide to work a season here you will have plenty of powder to explore.
